Wood-fired kiln, opened monthly

Made slow, on the wheel

Kiln & Clay is a working ceramics studio. Every plate, mug, and vessel is thrown by hand, glazed in-house, and fired in the kiln you can see from the shop floor.

Clay, glaze, fire, repeat

Two potters, one apprentice, and a kiln with opinions. We make small batches of functional ware — pieces meant for daily hands, not display cabinets.

  • Local stoneware — clay dug two valleys over, wedged by hand.
  • House glazes — our signature glaze-blue is mixed in the back room, recipe guarded.
  • Seconds shelf — kiln quirks sold at half price. First come, first served.

"I drink my morning coffee from a mug I threw here, glazed in their blue. It's lopsided and it's my favorite object in the house."
